Colour-Steel Hoarding

Built around a slot rather than a frame. The post carries a U-section, the corrugated colour-steel panel drops into it, and a black-and-yellow warning board runs along the base of the face. A crew sets the posts, slides the panels in, braces the run — which is why this hoarding goes up quickly and comes down in whole panels, and why it is the type that moves with the job rather than staying with the site.

On this page: how the slot build works and where it is used (01), the published post, slot, panel, warning board and brace figures (02), what the light panel and the two brace options give you (03), what the run and the exposure settle (04), packing, price and delivery (05), and four questions answered from this page (06).

Overview

A panel in a slot, and a crew that can move it

The build is deliberately simple. An 80×80×0.8 mm powder-coated square tube is the post; the powder coating gives it its colour and its weather-facing finish, and it is the part of the hoarding the public sees at every post station. A U-section at 0.6/0.25 mm is fixed to the post as a slot, and the corrugated colour-steel panel slides down into it. Nothing is welded on site, and the panel is released by lifting it out.

Behind the face, a 40 square tube or an L40 brace props the run. Both are published options, so the choice is made with the wind exposure and the ground condition rather than by default: a sheltered compound and an exposed roadside are not braced the same way. Because the panels are a standard band and the posts are standard sections, a run can be extended on the next phase or carried to the next site by keeping the posts and re-ordering only what was damaged.

This is the light, fast option in the family. Where the frontage stays up for a long contract and has to look heavier, the municipal hoarding is the product; where the face needs colour without raw steel showing, the PVC hoarding covers the structure with a shell instead.

Technical specification

Colour-steel hoarding — post, slot, panel and brace

Post section, slot gauge, panel thickness, warning board and brace options are all published. Run height and post spacing are not: they are confirmed on the order drawing against the height you need and the ground condition.

Features

What the slot build and the panel give you

  • No site welding. The panel drops into a U-section slot and lifts back out, so a crew sets posts and slides panels.
  • A light corrugated panel. 0.3 mm colour steel in grass green, corrugated for stiffness across the span.
  • A powder-coated post. 80×80×0.8 mm square tube, where the coating is both the finish and the colour the public sees.
  • Two published brace options. 40 square tube or L40, chosen with the wind exposure and the ground rather than by default.
  • A high-visibility base. A 0.4 mm black-and-yellow PVC warning board along the bottom of the face, where the hoarding meets a road or a delivery route.
  • Reusable by module. Standard bands and standard posts mean the run can be extended, shortened or carried to the next site.
  • Face colour on the order. Grass green is the published panel; another colour or a printed face is agreed per order.
Made to project specification

Height, ground and the colour of the face

Tell us the site length, the height, the ground fixing and the colour, and the post spacing, panel band, brace type and packing are confirmed as one specification. Height and post spacing are the two published values this product does not carry, and they are the two that decide how the run stands: a taller face takes more wind, and the brace option is chosen against that exposure rather than after it.

The face colour is the most visible decision on the product. Grass green is the panel the manufacturer publishes, and the post colour comes from the powder coating; if the project needs a different face colour or a printed face, that is settled on the order rather than assumed. The base fixing follows the same rule — the foundation detail is confirmed per specification against the ground condition.

Packing, price and delivery

Panels, posts, slots and braces, bundled by type

Panels, posts, slots and braces are bundled by type for shipping, so the right bundle reaches the right part of the run. The corrugated panel is light and stacks well, but it dents, so the bundles are packed to protect the face rather than only to save space. Banding, pallets and the exact bundle layout are confirmed per specification with the loading plan.

Questions

Four questions, answered from this page

How does the panel stay in?
The post carries a U-section slot at 0.6/0.25 mm, and the 0.3 mm corrugated colour-steel panel drops into it. Nothing is welded on site, and the panel lifts back out.
What are the sections and thicknesses?
Post 80×80×0.8 mm powder-coated square tube, panel 0.3 mm colour steel in grass green, warning board 0.4 mm black-and-yellow PVC, and a brace of 40 square tube or L40.
Which brace should I choose?
Both 40 square tube and L40 are published options. The choice follows the wind exposure and the ground condition, settled with the height on the order drawing.
What height and post spacing are published?
Neither is published as a fixed figure. Tell us the height you need and the ground condition, and post spacing and brace positions are confirmed on the order drawing.
Can I have another colour?
Yes. Grass green is the published panel and the post colour comes from the powder coating; another colour or a printed face is agreed per order.
