PVC Hoarding
Two jobs, two materials. The structure is a galvanised tube inside the post; the face is PVC — a 120×120 mm shell around that core and a 20 mm PVC panel in the slot. Nothing raw is left showing on the outside, the colour is chosen for the project rather than taken from stock, and the face can be cleaned down when the hoarding is presented to the public. It is the hoarding for frontages, entrances and compounds where the run is part of how the site looks.
On this page: why the structure and the face are separated (01), the published post shell, core, panel and brace figures (02), what the PVC face gives you (03), the colour and height decisions that stay on the drawing (04), packing, price and delivery (05), and four questions answered from this page (06).
A galvanised core carrying a PVC face
The galvanised tube inside the post is what resists the wind and carries the panel line. The PVC shell around it and the 20 mm PVC panel in the slot are what the public sees. Separating the two is the whole idea: the part that takes the load is specified for strength, and the part that is looked at is specified for appearance, colour and cleanliness, without asking one material to be good at both.
The result is a run with no raw steel on the outside face and a colour that does not need repainting to keep its appearance. Because the panel is a solid 20 mm PVC section, the finished face is smoother and more uniform than a thin corrugated sheet, and it can be cleaned down when the site is presented to the public.
That same solidity is the product's weak point in transit: the panel is the part to protect, and it is the part we ask buyers to specify carefully. Colour, panel band height and run height are the three figures that decide what is made. In the family, the blue-sky printed hoarding carries a printed face instead, the municipal hoarding is the heavier galvanised frontage, and the perforated hoarding is the face that lets wind through.
PVC hoarding — shell, core, panel and brace
The shell, the core, the panel thickness and the brace are published. Run height and post spacing are not, and the colours are not listed as stock items: the panel colour is a custom colour, confirmed on the order.
| Product / model reference | PVC hoarding — works hoarding with a PVC post shell over a galvanised tube core and a 20 mm PVC panel face. Quoted against your requirement; no catalogue model number is issued until the requirement is agreed. |
|---|---|
| Post shell (立柱外壳) | 120×120 mm PVC. |
| Post core (内衬) | 80×80×0.8 mm galvanised tube, inside the PVC shell. |
| Panel (面板) | 20 mm PVC panel, custom colour. |
| Slot and brace (卡槽 / 斜撑) | Galvanised slot, with a 40 square-tube brace behind the run. |
| Run height and post spacing | Not published by the manufacturer as fixed figures. Tell us the height you need and the ground condition, and post spacing and brace positions are confirmed on the order drawing. |

What the PVC face gives you
- No raw steel on the outside. A 120×120 mm PVC shell over the 80×80×0.8 mm galvanised core covers the structure completely.
- A solid 20 mm panel. Smoother and more uniform than thin corrugated sheet, and cleanable when the site is on show.
- Colour chosen for the project. A custom colour rather than a stock shade, confirmed on the order.
- A clean line. A galvanised slot holds the panel, with a 40 square-tube brace behind the run.
- Appearance that holds. The shell and panel keep their colour without repainting, which is the practical reason to specify PVC over a painted sheet.
- A published structure. Shell, core, panel and brace are stated, so the drawing only has to settle the height, the spacing and the colour.
Colour, band height and the conditions on site
Send the run length, the height, the ground fixing and the colour, and the post spacing, panel band, brace and packing are confirmed as one specification. Colour, panel band height and run height are the three figures that decide what is made, and two of the three are not published, so they come back on the order drawing.
Where a site is dusty, exposed to strong sun or handling colour-critical branding, tell us the conditions as well as the colour. The panel is the part of this hoarding that weathers first, and a specification that names the exposure is a specification we can answer honestly rather than a colour reference we can only match on a screen.
PVC panels, shells and cores kept apart
PVC panels, post shells, galvanised cores, slots and braces are bundled by type for shipping. The panels travel as their own bundle rather than with the steel, because a 20 mm PVC face that has been loaded against a core is a face that arrives marked. Banding, pallets and the exact bundle layout are confirmed per specification with the loading plan.

Four questions, answered from this page
- What carries the load — the PVC or the steel?
- The galvanised core does. An 80×80×0.8 mm galvanised tube sits inside the 120×120 mm PVC post shell and carries the panel line; the PVC is the face that is seen.
- What is the panel?
- A 20 mm PVC panel in a custom colour, held in a galvanised slot, with a 40 square-tube brace behind the run.
- Are colours available from stock?
- No. The panel colour is published as a custom colour — tell us the colour you need and it is confirmed on the order. Other colours are not listed as stock items.
- What height and post spacing can I have?
- Neither is published as a fixed figure. Tell us the height you need and the ground condition, and post spacing and brace positions are confirmed on the order drawing.
- Why choose PVC over a painted panel?
- Because the shell and panel keep their colour without repainting, and the solid 20 mm face can be cleaned down when the site is presented to the public.
